刘大林，字气浩，一九四九年生于湖南九嶷号九嶷山人，性情豁达，幼年习乐理，继攻绘画，长期专心于中国画的研究，尤酷爱画马，其画风雄浑激荡，苍茫冷隽，用笔大胆洒脱，作品多次参加历届全国性和国际性展览，许多作品被国内外博物馆、文史馆、展览馆或个人收藏家收藏，百余幅作品被国内外报刊发表刊用，入选国际画家大辞典，当代书画精英大典等数十部名人集和辞书，作品曾在德国、日本、澳大利亚、马来西亚、新加坡、香港等国家和地区展出。现任甘肃飞天书画学会副会长、中国西部书画院副院长兼秘书长、民进甘肃省委书画研究秘书长等职，系中国工艺美术家协会会员、中国国画家协会会员、甘肃省美术家协会会员、高级美术师职称。
